About the Role

The role involves transporting and dumping loose materials, performing pre‑trip inspections, operating vehicle controls (dump bed, third axle, tarp and strap systems), adhering to state and federal trucking laws, monitoring gauges and radios, and submitting daily logs and reports. Drivers must keep the vehicle and work area clean, use defensive driving techniques, and refrain from operating equipment with known defects. • Transport and dump sand, gravel, crushed rock, or paving materials safely. • Conduct thorough pre‑trip vehicle inspections (tires, lights, fluids, belts, wipers). • Operate dump bed, third axle, tarp and strap controls; lift and lower the bed as required. • Follow defensive driving practices and comply with state and federal trucking regulations. • Monitor vehicle gauges, radio communications, and adjust gears using double‑clutch technique. • Keep vehicle interior and work area free of debris; clean tailgate and apron after unloading. • Submit accurate daily logs, truck reports, and defect reports per company and regulatory standards. • Perform physical tasks such as climbing onto the bed, shoveling, and lifting up to 100 lb.

What You Bring

The position demands significant physical activity, including climbing onto the dump bed, manual loading/unloading, and occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lb). Drivers must meet vision requirements, tolerate moderate noise, and may work long shifts (10–12 hours, up to 15 hours when needed). • Maintain a valid CDL, current Medical Examiner’s Certificate, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. • Demonstrate basic arithmetic, problem‑solving, teamwork, and a positive, professional attitude.
