About the Role

GHD’s Contaminated Assessment & Remediation (CAR) team is seeking an experienced environmental professional to support site assessment, remediation, and environmental risk management projects in Chicago, Houston, Detroit, St. Paul, and Golden. The role will collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate field investigations, deliver site assessments, and manage small‑ to mid‑scale projects, applying technical expertise and sound judgment. Our hybrid work model combines three days per week of in‑office collaboration with flexible remote work. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field, with six to ten years of relevant experience and 13 months to three years of supervisory experience. Professional certifications such as EIT, PE, PG, or CHMM are a plus, and hands‑on experience conducting ASTM‑compliant Phase I ESAs at industrial sites is required. Strong knowledge of ASTM E1527‑21, federal and state regulations, technical writing, analytical skills, and a valid driver’s license for travel are also essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field. • Possess professional certification (EIT, PE, PG, CHMM) or be willing to obtain it. • Demonstrate hands‑on experience conducting Phase I ESAs at industrial sites. • Understand ASTM E1527‑21 standard and federal/state regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, UST). • Exhibit strong technical writing, analytical, and independent work skills. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel with overnight stays.

Benefits
The position offers a salary range of $83,160 to $138,600 based on experience and location, along with a 401(k) plan, paid time off, holiday pay, and a wellness reimbursement program.
