About the Role

• Develop and optimise protection & control (P&C) solutions, including key line, schematic, relay settings, SCADA topology, wiring diagrams and design specifications. • Review supplier designs for technical compliance with National Grid/client policies and standards. • Act as Owner’s Engineer, reviewing and commenting on supplier designs and calculations for HV, BESS and renewables projects. • Perform protection coordination studies and setting calculations using ETAP or similar software.

What You Bring

• Hold an electrical/power engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng). • Possess knowledge of transmission HV design processes (National Grid or SSE) and project experience. • Experience in P&C front‑end engineering design or detailed design of 132 kV‑400 kV installations. • Demonstrated team‑player attitude with client‑focused, customer‑facing skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects flexibly and work with 275 kV/400 kV transmission voltages. • Background in consulting, utility, renewable generation or OEM environments is desirable.
