About the Role
• Assist accountant to ensure client contractual requirements are met for billing and accounts receivable. • Process vendor invoices for accounts payable and keep accounts current for assigned projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, ensuring lien waivers, contracts, and insurance requirements are in place. • Assist with the monthly close, posting or accruing client bills and project costs as needed. • Support internal and external audit requests. • Facilitate data entry for project‑specific vendor invoices and prepare multi‑project invoices for central financial posting. • Perform administrative invoice tasks such as vendor setup, sales/use tax reporting, and handling client tax‑exempt certificates. • Help prepare Turner owner applications for payment by compiling supporting invoice backup. • Provide supervisor with periodic progress reports. • Apply academic knowledge to company settings. • Follow company work hours, policies, procedures, and professional conduct rules. • Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, and other stakeholders. • Prepare for and participate in conferences and learning opportunities offered by the company.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited four‑year college or university, preferably majoring in Accounting or Finance, with at least one year of coursework and basic finance knowledge. They should be willing to work a standard week, demonstrate interpersonal skills through leadership or volunteer activities, and be eager to learn Turner’s finance strategy and core values. The role requires personal responsibility, enthusiasm, adaptability, attention to detail, independence with oversight, teamwork, strong organizational abilities, clear verbal and written communication, and computer proficiency, including intermediate to advanced Excel. The position requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, using construction hoists, and navigating construction sites. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus. Employees must also be able to lift or move heavy weights occasionally and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, kneeling, and crawling.

Benefits
Compensation is provided as a non‑exempt intern wage, estimated at $20.00‑$24.00 per hour. The work environment is primarily on‑site at construction locations, exposing employees to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, weather conditions, and potential electrical hazards.
