About the Role

The role sits at the intersection of energy, technology and economic growth, helping Nova Scotia become a leader in the global clean‑energy transition. You will work on emerging sectors such as offshore wind, green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel and critical minerals. You will act as a conduit between developers, industrial customers and the electricity grid, shaping efficient connection strategies and fostering partnerships with government, economic‑development agencies and industry stakeholders. Collaboration with internal teams—including System Planning, Energy Delivery, Government Relations and Regulatory—will be essential to deliver innovative energy solutions. • Engage with developers and large‑scale commercial customers to assess energy needs and guide grid connection. • Identify efficient, cost‑effective grid connection approaches and prepare insights for new customers. • Collaborate with government, economic development agencies, and industry stakeholders to accelerate growth. • Partner with internal teams (System Planning, Energy Delivery, Government Relations, Regulatory) to shape energy solutions. • Represent Nova Scotia Power at industry events and stay informed on renewable energy trends. • Deliver presentations to senior leadership on market developments and new opportunities.

What You Bring

Successful candidates demonstrate a blend of technical knowledge, analytical ability and strong interpersonal skills. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field (or equivalent experience), understanding of electrical systems and interconnection processes, and at least five years of relevant experience are required. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent experience). • Technical understanding of electrical systems and interconnection processes (Nova Scotia experience a plus). • 5+ years in customer support, energy operations, or technical leadership, preferably in utilities or industrial sectors. • Strong analytical skills with experience managing data. • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities. • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
