About the Role
In this role the engineer will analyze operational data, identify systemic variation, and lead cross-functional improvement projects. Responsibilities include facilitating root-cause analysis, kaizen events, time studies, and deploying standard work and process controls to sustain gains. • Lead DMAIC and lean improvement initiatives to boost Quality, Cost, and Delivery. • Analyze performance data across all Indianapolis facilities to pinpoint variation and waste. • Facilitate cross-functional root-cause analysis, kaizen events, and continuous-improvement workshops. • Conduct time studies, workflow assessments, and labor efficiency analyses. • Develop and implement standard work, process controls, and waste-reduction strategies. • Support creation and maintenance of Technical Package elements for process control. • Partner with operations, quality, design engineering, logistics and leadership to align improvement priorities. • Ensure manufacturing methods align with design intent through collaboration with design engineering.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or Engineering Technology, with 2–4+ years of manufacturing experience (or 6+ years without a degree). Preferred qualifications include Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, proven DMAIC leadership, strong statistical analysis skills, and experience with PFMEA, PPAP and aerospace manufacturing. • Hold an engineering degree (Associate, Bachelor, or Master) with 2‑4+ years manufacturing experience, or 6+ years experience without a degree. • Possess Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Green Belt) certification and proven DMAIC event leadership. • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities in statistical analysis, capability evaluation, and performance modeling. • Experience with PFMEA, PPAP, control plans, and aerospace manufacturing processes.
