About the Role
Job summary: Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. • Operate the truck in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company standards, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and record any issues for corrective action. • Immediately report unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in required training, briefings, and meetings as directed by the Route Manager. • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiency and identify unsafe accounts. • Perform scheduled duties and assist other drivers when needed. • Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. • Alert Dispatch or Route Manager to service issues such as blocked containers or missed pick‑ups per protocol. • Communicate customer requests or concerns to Dispatch or the Route Manager. • Fully dump containers and leave the customer site clean and free of debris. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal when required. • Position containers on customer property upright, with lids replaced, ensuring they do not block driveways or traffic. • Follow daily route assignments and complete all required documentation at the end of the route.

What You Bring
Union Single-Man Side-Load Residential DZ Driver position in Napanee, ON, Canada, manual loading, preferred physical labor experience, $30.62/hr, start 6:15 am, 9‑hour days, Monday‑Friday schedule, EEO employer. Qualifications: No formal education or prior experience required; must be legally eligible to work in Canada, hold a current DZ or Class 3 (or higher) license (CDL, min 18 years), preferably with manual‑truck experience, and pass pre‑employment drug screen, physical, background, and driving‑record checks. Real ID: The position may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must have a Real ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative.
