About the Role

The role provides local technical assistance for design, development, and construction of public and private infrastructure, including inspection, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, tunnels, and dams, and requires accurate documentation that meets industry standards for safety and functionality. • Inspect bridges throughout the Southeast for deterioration and structural damage to ensure public safety and road functionality. • Produce complete and accurate bridge inspection reports using electronic systems, drawings, and field logs. • Plan and prepare field inspection trips and maintain necessary equipment and supplies. • Perform calculations and provide entry‑level technical assistance on bridge repair designs, load ratings, and construction inspections. • Follow safety guidelines and site‑specific procedures during all field activities. • Apply responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma. • Strong self‑discipline, attention to detail, multitasking and prioritization abilities in a dynamic environment. • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. • Physical ability to climb ladders (≤40 ft), carry gear, and work in adverse weather and confined spaces. • Comfortable using hand and power tools. • Proven safety record and compliance with WSP health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies. • Immediate eligibility to work in the United States. • Associate’s degree or relevant technical coursework. • Internship, leadership, or related project experience. • Ability to read plans and specifications to assist with bridge repair and construction inspections. • Experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. • Comfortable working at heights above 40 ft and interest in rope work (SPRAT certification). • Enjoyment of outdoor work and travel.
