About the Role

In this position, the manager oversees the overall financial health of projects, maintains schedules and budgets, and ensures compliance with quality, risk, and safety standards. They act as the primary liaison with owners and on‑site representatives, handling change orders and securing necessary approvals. • Supervise overall financial health of projects • Develop and maintain project financial projections • Allocate project estimate into financial system • Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and manage budget decisions • Provide financials and billings to accounting for timely payment • Handle subcontracts and suppliers, overseeing budget and selections • Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, managing career development • Serve as primary contact with owner and on‑site representative • Manage change orders and obtain customer/architect approval • Maintain schedule and budget while overseeing quality, risk, safety, and compliance

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Project Manager II to lead large or multiple construction projects. The role focuses on delivering quality, timeliness, safety, and strong customer relationships while mentoring the project team. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience, and brings at least ten years of construction management experience. A valid driver’s license, basic knowledge of construction law, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 100% are also required. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience • Minimum 10 years of construction management or related experience • Valid driver’s license • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices • Strong active listening and effective communication skills • Ability to travel up to 100% • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans
