About the Role
The officer will deliver pre‑sales technical clarification, after‑sales issue resolution and on‑site or remote support for marine and industrial applications. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and overhaul coordination, as well as crisis‑management and breakdown troubleshooting. The role also involves technical analysis, root‑cause investigations, warranty claim handling and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and service standards. • Provide pre‑sales technical clarification and after‑sales issue resolution for mtu mobile power systems across APAC. • Act as the primary technical contact for customers, subsidiaries, distributors and service partners. • Deliver on‑site and remote support, including regional travel for installation, commissioning and troubleshooting. • Coordinate maintenance, repair and overhaul activities and guide field service engineers. • Lead breakdown troubleshooting, diagnostics and crisis recovery, liaising with regional teams. • Perform data analysis, root‑cause investigations and feed findings to Level 3 support, factories and R&D. • Manage warranty claim evaluation, documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards. • Support regional service capacity planning and correction‑in‑field initiatives. • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care Centre and other stakeholders to provide technical leads.

What You Bring
The role is based in Tukong, Singapore (West) and is open only to candidates who have the legal right to work in Singapore. Regional coordination duties cover service capability planning, correction‑in‑field support and collaboration with the Sales organisation, Customer Care Centre and other APAC stakeholders. The position requires frequent regional travel and strong communication skills in English. Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and have 7–10 years of experience in controls and automation for diesel/marine engines and mobile power systems. Preferred qualifications include WSQ/HS&E safety certifications, SAP or service‑management system experience, and prior exposure to crisis management or formal failure‑analysis processes. • Hold a diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering. • Possess 7‑10 years of experience in controls and automation for diesel/marine engines and mobile power systems. • Demonstrate strong hands‑on aftermarket service, commissioning and troubleshooting skills. • Willingness to travel throughout APAC and excellent English communication skills. • Preferred: WSQ/HS&E certifications, SAP/service‑management experience, crisis‑management exposure.
