About the Role
• Complete preventative maintenance on robotic and automated systems with proper documentation. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment (belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, robotic components). • Repair and maintain automated conveyor systems, robotics, and integrated controls. • Perform predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. • Maintain and troubleshoot robotic cells, AutoStore systems, and automated storage/retrieval equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and robotic programming documentation. • Diagnose PLC systems, input/output functions, and automation controls. • Ensure safety compliance with OEM guidelines and document all activities in CMMS. • Track inventory of maintenance supplies and replacement parts. • Work physically demanding tasks: lift up to 49 lb, bend, crouch, kneel, and operate in confined spaces during 12‑hour shifts.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician for the 2nd shift at our General Motors CCA facility in Roanoke, Texas, with compensation ranging from $28‑40 per hour. The role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance of automated material handling equipment and robotic systems in a warehouse environment, blending electrical, mechanical, and robotics expertise to keep operations running safely and reliably. The position requires 12‑hour shifts working in an automated warehouse with varying temperatures, noise, vibration and confined spaces. Physical duties include lifting up to 49 lb, bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching to access equipment, as well as standing and walking for extended periods. • Required: High school diploma or equivalent, 1 year PC competency, basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and automation principles. • Preferred: Associate degree or certifications in mechatronics/robotics, PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens), 2+ years experience with automated conveyors, robotic controls, AutoStore or similar ASRS, CMMS familiarity.
