About the Role

The intern will provide financial services support to profit centers, performing accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliation, and special services. • Assist with client billing and accounts receivable to meet contractual requirements. • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments for assigned projects. • Handle subcontractor invoices, verify lien waivers, and confirm insurance compliance. • Support monthly close by posting project costs and accruing work of material value. • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries. • Enter project‑specific vendor data and prepare multi‑project invoices for central processing. • Perform administrative tasks such as vendor setup, sales/use tax reporting, and collecting exemption certificates. • Compile supporting documentation for Turner owner payment applications. • Provide periodic progress reports to the supervisor. • Maintain professional relationships and adhere to company policies and work hours. • Participate in training sessions, conferences, and other learning opportunities.

What You Bring

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited four‑year college or university, preferably in Accounting or Finance, with at least one year of coursework, and demonstrate interpersonal, leadership, and community involvement experience. They should possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, intermediate to advanced Excel abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. The position requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and construction hoists, as well as vision and manual dexterity to perform tasks in a construction site environment that may involve noise, weather exposure, and moving mechanical parts.
