About the Role
Key duties include setting up trailers, building temporary structures, installing site equipment, handling prefabricated materials, and performing concrete and rough carpentry work such as walls, footings, formwork, decks, drywall, and finish installations. • Set up trailers and construct temporary decks, stairs, and roofs between office units. • Install shelves, tool trailers/conexes, silt fences, straw bales, and implement erosion control plans. • Hand‑set and assemble gang forms. • Assist journeyman and foreman with grade and elevation shooting. • Unload, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials. • Perform concrete and rough carpentry, including walls, footings, formwork, decks, drywall, finish work, doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and cabinetry. • Build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Work with precision, read plans, visualize objects, and operate various carpentry equipment. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking Carpenter Apprentice levels I through IV to assist journeyman and foreman carpenters while learning the trade. The apprentice will support a variety of site tasks and develop core carpentry skills under experienced supervision. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be enrolled in an apprenticeship program, and possess strong teamwork, communication, and precision skills. Prior construction experience is preferred, along with the ability to operate a range of carpentry tools and equipment. • Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Be currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program. • Prior construction site experience preferred. • Demonstrate strong teamwork, positive attitude, customer service, attention to detail, and effective communication. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb; heavier loads require assistance or equipment. • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Benefits
The role offers an hourly wage from $21.45 to $47.13, with higher rates for locations such as Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
