What You Bring
HDR is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our West Region Power Generation team. The Senior Project Manager will work with a multi‑discipline team supporting power and energy projects across industrial, institutional, municipal, IPP and utility sectors. This seller‑doer role maintains client relationships, brings in projects, develops strategies and plans, monitors status, and leads teams to successful completion. The position requires extensive client interaction from pre‑positioning through project completion and strong verbal and written communication for collaborating with internal staff, marketing, and operations leadership. The ideal candidate has significant experience with utility‑scale power generation systems, emerging market trends such as distributed generation and combined heat and power, and proven ability to plan, schedule and lead complex design and consulting assignments. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license, and at least ten years of related experience with a minimum of five years in project management. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office and MS Project (Access experience a plus) and demonstrate leadership, business development and strategic planning skills. An attitude and commitment to actively participating in our employee‑owned culture is essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s in Engineering, PE/P.Eng license, and 10+ years experience, including 5+ years in project management. • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project (Access a plus). • Demonstrate leadership, organizational and communication skills.
