About the Role
During the first stage you will work within Customer Operations—covering Customer Care, Order Processing and Returns—and the Services business to understand core operational processes and systems. You will collaborate with analysts, learn to translate business needs, and support back‑office systems such as SAP, Salesforce CRM, Genesys CTI, e‑commerce and quotation tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues or escalate as needed. • Perform IT administration tasks such as user setup and permission changes. • Assist senior analysts with system and process testing, including UAT and non‑regression testing. • Generate reports and analytics using Excel, Power Pivot, and Tableau for operational teams. • Automate workflows with Power Automate, Python, VBA, and RPA tools. • Support ERP (SAP), Salesforce CRM, Genesys CTI, e‑commerce, and quotation systems.

What You Bring
The Business Systems Apprentice role is based in Telford on a hybrid schedule, offering a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship with a £23,000 salary. As part of Schneider Electric, the apprentice will combine business insight with data‑driven analysis to deliver innovative solutions. Essential attributes include strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), an aptitude for data and systems, good communication, a customer‑focused and results‑driven attitude, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Desirable qualities are basic coding knowledge, understanding of relational databases, and prior experience in customer care or data entry. Candidates must have at least five GCSEs (including maths, English and a science/technology/engineering subject) and three A‑levels (including maths and a STEM subject) or equivalent BTEC qualifications. No previous experience is required, but the role does not offer visa sponsorship. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Ability to work with data and systems, demonstrating analytical aptitude. • Effective communication and customer‑focused mindset. • Proactive team player with initiative and problem‑solving curiosity. • Basic coding knowledge and understanding of program logic. • Familiarity with relational databases. • Experience in customer care or data entry.
