About the Role

The HVAC Technician I position focuses on delivering, installing, and maintaining portable HVAC equipment while ensuring safety and professionalism in customer interactions. Technicians work both on‑site and in the shop, keeping equipment organized, clean, and ready for rental, and they support larger job sites alongside senior staff. The role includes on‑call emergency service responsibilities with a rotating schedule for evenings and weekends. • Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls. • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train operators on safe usage. • Ensure customers sign required paperwork and track equipment serial numbers. • Troubleshoot equipment operation, specifications, and controls effectively. • Operate company vehicle safely and adhere to all safety policies. • Clean and test returned equipment to meet operational and appearance standards. • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls. • Install flexible gas hoses for propane and natural gas applications. • Implement safe procedures for checking gas connections. • Maintain accurate records of in‑stock and rented equipment with managers and sales engineers. • Be on call for emergency service, rotating weekends and evenings as needed.
