About the Role
The Health and Wellness Director (RN) leads daily operations of the health and wellness department, overseeing planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care. This exempt, salaried role reports to the Executive Director with a dotted‑line to the Regional Health & Wellness Director, and offers a salary range of $120‑130K annually. • Oversee all areas of the Health & Wellness department, including compliance, planning, assessments, directing, budget, staffing, and hands‑on care per state regulations and company policies. • Conduct thorough resident assessments. • Ensure resident care aligns with physician orders, state regulations, and company policies. • Monitor resident care plan progress via written notes and verbal communication. • Evaluate health and wellness associates’ skill competencies and overall performance. • Perform nursing audits (med carts, eMARS/TARS) to ensure regulatory compliance. • Implement training programs and in‑services for all associates per state regulations. • Provide ongoing leadership, maintaining optimal staffing levels and shift schedules. • Coordinate ancillary support services for residents. • Inform physicians, families, and associates of changes in resident condition and needs. • Maintain departmental budget for staffing and supplies. • Assist with nurse coverage as needed. • Fulfill 24/7 on‑call responsibilities.

What You Bring
Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a current NJ RN license in good standing, and have at least four years of supervisory experience in senior, assisted, or long‑term care settings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new applications are required. The position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, and the use of fine and gross motor skills. Employees must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lb and perform intermittent physical activities such as supporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
