About the Role

The laborer/Fire watch supports manual tasks on a new construction site, including moving and retrieving equipment, digging, and providing fire‑watch duties as directed by a supervisor or journeyman. • Perform manual activities such as moving equipment, digging, retrieving tools, and fire‑watch duties. • Use a fire extinguisher when required. • Climb onto structures and scaffolding safely. • Follow directions from supervisors or journeymen.

What You Bring

The position requires extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather for up to 12 hours per day while wearing required personal protective equipment. • Possess reliable transportation and availability to work any day as needed. • Pass pre‑employment health and drug screening. • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. • Demonstrate good problem‑solving and manual dexterity. • Read and comprehend technical instructions. • Work effectively as a team player with strong communication skills. • Commit to Zachry values and safety regulations. • Preferably a Zachry ROF’ed or former employee. • Basic mechanical knowledge and experience on an industrial construction site. • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb. • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and make precise adjustments with hands. • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions for long periods. • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear protection, respirator, safety vest, gloves, and steel‑toe boots.
