Software Engineering Operations Leader

About the Role

The role exists to provide thought leadership and drive execution excellence for product cyber security. As a Software Excellence Leader, you will integrate End‑to‑End Testing, Software Program Management, Cybersecurity and Engineering Excellence across the organization. This position ensures that quality, security and operational efficiency are aligned with business goals and industry best practices. Operational excellence will be achieved by unifying Software Excellence, DevOps, Cyber Security and Program Management capabilities within a secure SDLC. You will establish and lead the Software PMO, define governance models, delivery frameworks and KPI dashboards, and mentor engineering communities of practice for DevOps, program management and testing. In addition, you will build the SRE function, define comprehensive testing strategies, and drive a DevOps strategy that optimizes CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automation while maintaining compliance. • Integrate End‑to‑End Testing, Software Program Management, Cybersecurity and Engineering Excellence. • Establish and run the Software PMO with governance, delivery frameworks and KPI dashboards. • Build and lead the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function to ensure reliability and performance. • Define and oversee comprehensive testing strategies, including manual, automated, regression and performance testing. • Drive DevOps initiatives by optimizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing infrastructure as code and automating deployments while maintaining security compliance. • Mentor engineering communities of practice for DevOps, program management and testing. • Embed security throughout the SDLC and DevSecOps processes in collaboration with product and IT teams. • Lead globally distributed software development teams (40+ members) and foster high‑performing talent. • Champion open‑source development principles and digital platform commercialization for IoT products.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering and brings 18‑22 years of design experience with software products, embedded systems, cloud platforms and mobile applications. Prior leadership of 5‑10 years in globally distributed teams of at least 40 members, as well as a proven record of delivering large‑scale software programs and monetized IoT solutions, is required. Experience with Agile development, CI/CD, DevOps, cybersecurity, and embedded RTOS/Linux environments is essential. You will leverage deep knowledge of open‑source software, embedded systems, and digital platforms to commercialize IoT technologies across diverse business segments. Expertise in secure SDLC, DevSecOps, testing (functional, regression, performance, UAT) and SRE practices will be applied to ensure system reliability, availability and performance. The role also demands strong analytical skills to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
