About the Role
The role oversees and leads value‑stream performance to satisfy customer and business commitments such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, and past‑due targets. It provides vision and strategy for the value stream while evaluating skill gaps and developing resources to address them. The leader also monitors and manages both hourly and salaried staff, ensuring proper work assignment, development, and alignment. Leadership of a cross‑functional Tier II High Performance Work Team (HPWT) supports daily and long‑term initiatives across planning, procurement, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and quality. The manager coordinates these activities to achieve optimal utilization of personnel, machinery, and equipment, and revises production schedules as needed to meet cost‑targeted commitments. Manufacturing issues such as resource constraints, tooling, or equipment problems are resolved to minimize cost and prevent delays. Procedures and work instructions are continuously refined to reduce variation and improve performance. • Direct value‑stream operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and past‑due objectives. • Lead a Tier II High Performance Work Team supporting cross‑functional initiatives. • Manage staffing assignments, development, and alignment for hourly and salaried employees. • Define vision, strategy, and skill‑gap remediation for the value stream. • Ensure compliance with safety and quality policies throughout manufacturing. • Adjust production schedules to align resources with cost‑targeted commitments. • Coordinate planning, procurement, engineering, maintenance, and quality to maximize resource utilization. • Resolve tooling, equipment, and resource issues to reduce costs and avoid delays. • Develop and update procedures and work instructions to lower variation and boost performance. • Foster a continuous‑improvement culture using lean, Six Sigma, 5S+, and other aerospace initiatives.

What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least three years of experience managing factory or manufacturing operations, including direct people management. Candidates must be U.S. persons under ITAR regulations, reside within 50 miles of Glenolden, PA (active‑duty military exempt), and be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation assistance is provided. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated ability to lead production‑area employees, experience with continuous‑improvement and Six Sigma methodologies, and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems. Experience with lean tools such as CIF, 5S+, and certified lean tool leaders is also valued. • Require bachelor's degree and at least three years of factory/manufacturing management experience. • Must be a U.S. person per ITAR, reside within 50 mi of Glenolden, PA (active‑duty exempt), and work without sponsorship. • Preferred: production‑team leadership, Six Sigma/continuous‑improvement expertise, and MRP/ERP system experience.
