Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized underground distribution systems safely. • Coach, lead, and train crew members in safe work procedures and underground service installation. • Conduct pre‑job and tailgate briefings and coordinate crew inspections. • Troubleshoot underground circuit problems and identify primary/secondary voltage. • Operate and test equipment, including terminations, grounding, soil classification, and line protection devices. • Follow proper PPE usage, confined‑space protocols, and flag/tag procedures. • Plan work based on job prints or work orders, considering sloping, shoring, ladder, and line‑clearance requirements. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. • Complete required paperwork and adhere to company reporting procedures. • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and tolerate inclement weather.

What You Bring
The Underground Foreman leads the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. This skilled position requires expertise in both energized and de‑energized work, as well as the ability to coach and manage crew members while ensuring safe and productive procedures. The role demands physical stamina, the ability to work in inclement weather, and compliance with safety rules, company policies, and reporting procedures. Employees must be able to travel on short notice, work extended periods at various sites, and be comfortable with overtime, weekends, and holidays. • Possess at least 5 years of recent field experience and 2 years in a leadership role. • Hold a valid CDL, demonstrate safe driving, and be able to lift over 50 lbs. • Communicate effectively in English and travel long distances on short notice. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, and customer‑oriented attitude while following company safety rules and policies.
