About the Role

The Sourcing Manager will lead strategic procurement and supplier management for metal building products and related components. You will develop and execute category strategies, drive cost optimization, ensure supply continuity and quality, and partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Transportation to deliver value across the organization. You will lead teams and projects as needed, including training junior personnel. • Develop and implement category strategies for steel components, fasteners, coatings, and related items to meet cost, quality, and lead‑time goals. • Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers; lead selection, contract negotiations, and long‑term agreements. • Manage supplier performance through business reviews and drive continuous improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness. • Lead supplier development to resolve quality issues, enhance capability, and lower total cost of ownership. • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to align specifications, lead times, inventory targets, and design‑for‑sourcing opportunities. • Monitor commodity market trends and apply hedging, pricing, or strategic sourcing actions to mitigate volatility. • Oversee risk management and continuity planning, establishing contingency suppliers for critical components. • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. • Administer sourcing tools and maintain data integrity in Oracle ERP. • Lead cost‑reduction projects, track savings, and report impact to leadership.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field. • 9+ years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in metal manufacturing or building products. • Strong negotiation, contracting, and supplier management skills. • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional programs and influence without formal authority. • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI). • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards such as ISO 9001 and ASTM. • Analytical mindset with a track record of delivering cost savings and performance improvements. • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%. • Relevant certifications (CPSM, CPIM, CIPS, Six Sigma, etc.). • Experience with steel supply chains, metal finishing, coatings, fasteners, or building accessories. • Familiarity with supplier quality audits, development, and root‑cause problem solving.
