About the Role

The Permit Coordinator oversees the Starts Process at a division office, managing panel development, paperwork collection, permit submissions, and data entry into JD Edwards. This role demands strong organization and the ability to coordinate critical tasks that initiate home construction within Lennar’s system. • Obtain documents from engineers and architects to support permit applications • Secure required permit approvals and act as liaison with municipalities • Prepare and submit applications to relevant agencies and boards • Review plans for correct revision dates and verify start package accuracy • Coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants • Enter permitting data, prepare start packages for construction managers, and arrange necessary inspections • Monitor permit status with municipalities to ensure timely processing • Create and maintain community schedules, overseeing the permitting process from approval to final stages • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments related to permitting • Maintain company files for site‑plan applications, approvals, licenses, and permits • Represent Lennar at county board meetings and hearings to present projects and request approvals • Perform regular in‑person attendance at job sites and offices, working over eight hours daily in a construction trailer environment

What You Bring

The position requires regular on‑site attendance, a valid driver’s license, and the physical ability to work long hours in a construction trailer, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lb, and operate basic equipment. Candidates must be detail‑oriented, able to read blueprints, and comfortable handling a high‑volume workload. • Hold at least a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and one year of single/multi‑family permitting experience • Demonstrate strong organizational, time‑management, and initiative‑taking skills • Read and interpret blueprints and plot plans accurately • Work effectively as a detail‑oriented team player in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level • Physically capable of climbing stairs, lifting over 50 lb, and occasional operation of construction equipment
