About the Role

The supervisor will lead a high‑performing, safety‑focused operations team across multiple functions, ensuring reliable and compliant plant performance while driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities include aligning daily activities with corporate strategies, optimizing resource use, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction through effective process and performance management. • Lead safety initiatives through meetings, job briefs, audits, investigations, and on‑site observations. • Evaluate team performance using efficiency, reliability, and quality metrics; implement corrective actions and process improvements. • Directly manage crew productivity, ensure proper staffing, and remove operational barriers. • Recruit, train, coach, and assess staff; handle performance management and employee engagement. • Represent the organization in bargaining unit discussions, grievances, and corrective actions. • Build and sustain internal and external relationships to support operations and stakeholder satisfaction. • Ensure work complies with Xcel Energy policies, labor agreements, and regulatory standards; track compliance documentation.

Xcel Energy is seeking a Standard Operations Supervisor for the Cherokee Generating Station in Denver, Colorado. The role requires flexibility for periodic swing (evening) shifts and occasional weekend hours. Benefits
