About the Role
The Porter/Matron (On Call Cleaner, Part Time) at C&W Services plays a vital role in the operations team, ensuring that facilities remain clean, safe, and well‑maintained. The position involves performing daily and periodic cleaning and general maintenance tasks to meet both client and company standards. Key responsibilities include carrying out daily and scheduled cleaning duties such as trash removal, restroom cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, hard‑floor and carpet maintenance, and pressure washing. The employee must keep work areas and storage spaces organized, follow approved cleaning procedures, operate equipment safely, monitor supply inventories, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and adhere to security protocols while reporting any issues or improvement opportunities. • Perform daily and scheduled cleaning of assigned areas, including trash removal, restroom cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, floor and carpet care, and pressure washing. • Maintain clean, organized janitorial closets and storage spaces. • Follow C&W Services cleaning procedures and safety protocols, using appropriate PPE. • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, reporting any issues promptly. • Monitor and replenish cleaning supply inventory. • Ensure work meets client and company quality standards. • Assist in onboarding and training new team members. • Report security breaches, unsafe conditions, and improvement opportunities.

What You Bring
No prior experience is required for basic custodial tasks, but candidates must be able to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team, and demonstrate high attention to detail, strong work ethic, and physical stamina. Preferred qualifications include six months to one year of advanced custodial experience (e.g., floor stripping, waxing, burnishing, shampooing, extracting) and the ability to read and speak English, depending on site requirements. • Work independently or as part of a team with high attention to detail and strong work ethic. • Preferred: 6‑12 months experience in advanced custodial tasks such as stripping, waxing, burnishing, shampooing, and extracting; ability to read and speak English.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $24.70 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package such as health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off.
