About the Role

Apprentices will be trained on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites and will participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy to build skill sets for recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement. Through coaching and mentorship, they will develop troubleshooting abilities, keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress, and meet attendance requirements for Union training during the first year. They will also provide recommendations, upsell opportunities, and prepare quotes to support solutions that improve facility efficiency. • Deliver high‑level HVAC service and act as trusted advisor to customers. • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical HVAC issues on client sites. • Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy. • Communicate job progress to JCI, contractors, and customers. • Meet Union training attendance requirements during the first year. • Provide recommendations, upsell solutions, and prepare quotes. • Maintain membership or willingness to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices.

Effective interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, self‑starting attitude, safety focus, and a valid driver’s license are essential, while a preferred qualification is one to two years of technical trade school or college education. • Possess at least 1 year of HVAC or mechanical systems experience. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills. • Prioritize safety and hold a valid driver’s license. • Preferred: 1–2 years of technical trade school or college education.
