BIM Engineer (Bridge & Tunnel Structures)
Develop and coordinate 3D BIM models for bridges and tunnels using Revit.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The Structural BIM Engineer (Bridges & Tunnels) will develop advanced 3D structural models, implement automation workflows, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) in compliance with ISO 19650 standards. 2D drawings are produced as a minor deliverable from the 3D model, and the role focuses on ensuring accuracy, constructability, and efficiency in bridges, tunnels, and related infrastructure projects. The engineer will create and maintain 3D models for bridges, tunnels, piers, abutments, and decks using Revit, and will design automation and parametric workflows (e.g., Dynamo) to boost modeling efficiency. BIM coordination with Civil, MEP, and Architectural disciplines—including clash detection in Navisworks or Revit—will be performed, while project models, data, and deliverables are managed within ACC or equivalent CDE platforms. The role also requires extracting quantities, schedules, and annotations for documentation, producing 2D drawings derived from the model, and updating models based on design revisions, RFIs, and engineering comments. • Develop and maintain 3D structural models of bridges, tunnels, piers, abutments, and decks using Revit. • Create automation and parametric workflows with Dynamo to improve modeling efficiency. • Perform BIM coordination and clash detection with Civil, MEP, and Architectural disciplines using Navisworks or Revit. • Manage project data and deliverables within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar CDE platforms. • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards, BIM Execution Plans, and client requirements. • Extract quantities, schedules, and annotations from models for reporting and documentation. • Produce 2D drawings (plans, sections, reinforcement details) derived from the 3D model. • Update models and deliverables based on design revisions, RFIs, and engineering comments.
