About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to support Constellation’s interface activities with Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) such as PJM, MISO, and NYISO as nuclear generation capacity expands onto the grid. Responsibilities include managing grid interconnection requests, conducting interconnection studies, handling interim generation deliverability requests, and overseeing necessary grid material modifications. • Develop, manage, and implement new or revised Grid Interconnection Agreements (GIAs) • Develop, manage, and implement interim deliverability agreements • Serve as subject‑matter expert on RTO study results and grid reinforcement conclusions • Ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, and RTO regulations • Advise leadership on short‑term and long‑term grid implications, risk, schedule, and cost • Guide nuclear operations on grid interconnection processes, limitations, and procedures • Deliver accurate, complete, and timely work to support generation strategic goals • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for grid interconnections • Provide expertise on generation and excitation modeling per IEEE standards • Utilize grid interconnection software such as PSSE

What You Bring

The role requires deep technical expertise in power‑grid interconnection, power flow analysis, congestion management, and grid reinforcement. The incumbent will advise leadership on short‑ and long‑term grid implications, risk, schedule, and cost, and will provide guidance to nuclear operations on interconnection processes and limitations. Independent research, modeling per IEEE standards, and the use of tools like PSSE are also essential components of the job. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and bring at least ten years of engineering experience, including demonstrated technical leadership and strong teamwork skills. Access and medical requirements must be met according to position duties. Preferred qualifications include Professional Engineer registration and an advanced technical degree or relevant coursework. • Apply knowledge of power grid interconnection, power flow, congestion, and grid modifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of engineering experience • Demonstrated technical leadership (e.g., project lead, inspection lead) and teamwork • Ability to meet minimum access and medical requirements for the position • Professional Engineer (PE) registration (preferred) • Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework (preferred)
