About the Role
The role manages multiple developments within a business unit, ensuring high construction quality, cost control, and strict health and safety standards, while leading and developing a motivated team to meet regional profitability targets. • Develop Pre‑Start Health & Safety Plan and Site Specific Environmental Action Plan. • Generate required registers and ensure compliance with H&S procedures manual. • Assess project buildability and create Construction Programme with Development Department. • Attend pre‑planning, pre‑tender and pre‑start meetings to resolve construction issues. • Provide Build Programme and direction to Site Managers; review their H&S plans. • Monitor weekly progress reports, resolve delays, and oversee subcontractor and supplier planning. • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with company and HSE procedures. • Manage project completion and adoptions efficiently. • Collaborate with Technical and Design teams to implement cost‑effective construction processes. • Investigate and rectify cost over‑runs; negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to reduce costs while maintaining quality. • Enforce Waste Management Policy and monitor payment applications with Commercial Team. • Foster continuous improvement culture; monitor customer satisfaction surveys and address issues promptly. • Resolve purchaser disputes in line with financial controls. • Conduct annual performance appraisals; identify training and development opportunities. • Manage performance, disciplinary matters, and maintain staffing levels through recruitment. • Commitment to diversity and inclusion as a Disability Confident Employer, guaranteeing interview for qualified disabled applicants.
