About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside a talented crew on diverse projects, interpreting utility records, as‑built drawings, and highway plans, and designating existing utilities with electromagnetic and geophysical tools. Responsibilities also include operating a vacuum excavation truck, performing test holes, maintaining traffic control, handling “One‑Call” tickets, coordinating survey work, supervising field crew, and training junior members while representing Colliers in the field. • Collaborate with team on diverse SUE projects • Read and interpret utility records, as‑built and survey drawings, and highway design plans • Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies • Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck; perform test holes to expose utilities • Implement appropriate traffic control and maintenance of traffic • Process “One‑Call” tickets • Coordinate survey work related to SUE activities • Supervise field crew activities • Train junior crew members • Represent Colliers in the field and liaise with utility companies

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least two years of experience with electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies, and vacuum excavation experience is preferred. They should quickly learn new technologies, possess basic computer skills, and demonstrate strong communication and collaboration abilities. The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, occasional travel, overtime, the ability to walk several miles daily, lift up to 80 lb, maintain a clean driving record, and prioritize safety.

Compensation ranges from $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on qualifications, and includes mandatory pre‑employment drug screening and ongoing random drug‑and‑alcohol testing.
