About the Role
The Principal DevSecOps Engineer will create and develop processes and automation to scale solutions and platforms, collaborating with leadership, architects, software engineers, operations, security, and other teams. This role focuses on streamlining software development, testing, and operations with an emphasis on security, best‑practice application development, and infrastructure stability, while adapting to a fast‑paced, fluid environment. Key duties include applying DevSecOps methodologies to connect IT operations, security, and development; mentoring teams and providing thought leadership; architecting workflows for seamless transition from development to production; driving release ownership and tool automation; and delivering end‑to‑end automation for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in cloud or on‑premise environments. The engineer will also communicate solutions to all management levels, maintain the DevSecOps platform roadmap, and lead a small team of contractors and employees. • Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure orchestration on Azure. • Mentor and lead cross‑functional development, security, and operations teams. • Develop tooling to automate repetitive release and deployment tasks. • Evaluate, integrate, and roadmap new DevSecOps technologies for operational efficiency. • Ensure security, backup, redundancy, and performance optimization across solutions. • Communicate architecture and solution concepts to stakeholders at all levels. • Provide coaching, career development, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. • Travel domestically as required for project and stakeholder engagements.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications require a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8‑10 years of relevant experience, strong expertise with Azure and Azure DevOps, solid problem‑solving and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing demands and travel domestically. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, deep knowledge of Azure CI/CD pipelines using YAML, and a proven track record applying Agile and lean delivery concepts to manage teams. • Required: BS in CS/Engineering, 8‑10 years experience, Azure expertise, strong problem‑solving and communication skills. • Preferred: MS degree, Infrastructure as Code experience, Azure YAML pipelines, Agile/lean delivery expertise.
