About the Role

Technicians check system functionality, replace detector and panel batteries, verify warning sounders, ensure standby battery operation, test detection devices and signaling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre, clean CCTV and Wi‑Fi cameras, liaise with the service bureau, and accurately record work details on the mobile data device according to instructions and codes of practice. • Perform routine inspections and breakdown repairs on CCTV, video doorbell, and intruder alarm systems. • Replace detector, panel and backup batteries and verify system standby operation. • Test warning sounders, detection devices, and signaling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre. • Clean and maintain CCTV and Wi‑Fi cameras. • Liaise with the service bureau per company procedures. • Accurately record work details on the mobile data device following codes of practice. • Use hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment. • Utilize smartphones, tablets and PCs for job tasks.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a full UK manual driver’s licence, be able to carry and climb ladders, use hand and power tools safely, work responsibly to avoid injuries and damage, and keep the work area tidy. They should be reliable, trustworthy, self‑motivated, able to work independently or in a team, possess excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, and be comfortable using smartphones, tablets and PCs. A security check is required; electrical experience or qualifications and previous residential installation/service experience are desirable. • Hold a full UK manual driver’s licence and be able to work at height with ladders. • Work independently and collaboratively, delivering exceptional customer service. • Communicate effectively and build strong customer relationships. • Preferred: electrical qualifications or experience and prior residential installation/service background.
