Maintain and repair diesel trucks/equipment for WM's fleet in Wenatchee, WA
Job Highlights
About the Role
Each day you’ll service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers nationwide, using modern tools to maintain diesel and CNG vehicles. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on various vehicles • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency service calls and breakdowns • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics on project work • Review and address repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with Corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
We are looking for candidates with at least two years of relevant experience, a clean driver’s license, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job; candidates must also be legally eligible to work in the United States and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Our teams thrive on collaboration, independence, variety, and strong problem‑solving skills, with a shared commitment to safety for employees and the community. The position involves frequent lifting, standing, and exposure to shop and outdoor conditions such as dirt, noise, and weather extremes, with accommodations available as needed. The role may require air travel or access to federal property, so candidates must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative. • Minimum 2 years relevant diesel mechanic experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean record • Age 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, standing, crouching, etc.) • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Determined problem solver
