About the Role

The engineer will carry out regular inspections, preventative maintenance and annual capacity testing of battery energy storage systems to ensure optimal performance. They will troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues, perform warranty repairs, and support the commissioning of BESS equipment. Phone support and remote diagnostics will be provided to customers, with clear communication to maintain strong relationships. Service activities include preparing analytical reports, documenting site visits, generating work orders, and conducting risk assessments while implementing safety measures in line with local regulations. The role also serves as a local technical advisor in customer meetings, collaborates with the in‑house system engineering team on product development, communicates technical requirements to suppliers, evaluates proposals, and helps define quality standards and processes. What You Bring

Candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and have more than seven years of hands‑on experience delivering large power‑system projects, particularly in battery energy storage, drives, solar and HV/LV power electronics. Proficiency with complex control logic, MODBUS protocols, and a deep understanding of inverters, converters and transformers is essential. The successful applicant will be proactive, highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. • Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of power system project delivery experience. • Demonstrate hands‑on expertise with BESS, drives, solar, HV/LV power electronics and MODBUS. • Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and detail‑oriented skills. • Enjoy flexible working practices to optimise performance.
