About the Role

As an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer, you will provide direction and assistance to your work group to meet assigned objectives. Guided by senior engineering resources, you will execute analysis, design, testing, and integration for instruments such as smart positioners, electronic assemblies, or systems that meet business standards and product requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining global product definitions for control‑valve instruments and accessories, handling electronic component obsolescence, and preparing technical data for design reviews. You will collaborate with external contract manufacturers, document work in PLM and eDRB, and participate in cost‑out and design‑automation initiatives using VBA/scripts. Additionally, you will work with CAD tools like SolidWorks, ERP systems such as SAP, and prepare invention disclosures to protect competitive technology. • Maintain global product definitions for control‑valve instruments and accessories meeting engineering and NPI standards • Manage electronic component obsolescence and coordinate with software teams • Prepare and present technical data in design reviews to senior engineers and approval committees • Collaborate with external contract manufacturers to resolve technical throughput issues • Document work in PLM, eDRB and other corporate repositories • Participate in cost‑reduction and design‑automation initiatives using VBA/scripts • Utilize CAD tools (SolidWorks) and ERP systems (SAP) for design and documentation • Prepare invention disclosures to protect competitive technology • Ensure proper documentation of technical data according to engineering policies

What You Bring

To succeed, you need a bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering and 2‑5 years of experience in electronic hardware design. Required knowledge includes analog circuit design, PCB layout, field instrumentation and HART protocol, with automation experience in LabVIEW or PLC coding considered a plus. Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical control systems is also valuable. • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering • 2‑5 years experience in electronic hardware design • Proficiency in analog circuit design, PCB layout, and field instrumentation (HART protocol) • Experience with LabVIEW or PLC coding (preferred) • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems
