About the Role
Building cleaning workers—including porters, janitors, housekeepers, window washers, and rug shampooers—maintain commercial and multi‑unit residential properties in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, bathrooms, lobbies, corridors, elevators, and other common areas, as well as floor care, rug and upholstery cleaning, and minor repairs. • Clean offices, bathrooms, lobbies, corridors, elevators, and other common areas. • Perform floor care: wet/dry mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, and carpet/rug shampooing. • Clean windows, walls, glass, and remove graffiti, gum, and rubbish. • Conduct minor repairs, painting, carpentry, and replenish bathroom supplies. • Handle landscaping tasks and snow removal as needed. • Dust furniture and equipment, and replace light bulbs. • Transport small tools and set up tables and chairs for events. • Follow safety and security procedures and report hazards.

What You Bring
The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and less than one year of prior experience in commercial or residential property cleaning. Essential skills are dependability, teamwork, ethical conduct, adherence to safety procedures, and basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. • Demonstrate dependability, teamwork, ethical behavior, and basic English communication.
