About the Role
Under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B repairs and maintains diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role also involves basic tire work such as replacements, rotations, and tread depth checks, and offers training on new technologies while providing a regular shift in a stable industry. Key duties include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on vehicle systems, providing safe road service to get equipment back in operation, diagnosing malfunctions with electronic tools, and completing required company training programs. The technician must also perform line‑maintenance welding and fabrication as needed. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems • Conduct basic tire services including replacement, rotation, and tread depth inspection • Provide safe road service to return equipment to operational status efficiently • Diagnose malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools

What You Bring
Applicants need a basic understanding of work‑order labor standards and experience with light, medium, or heavy‑duty trucks (Classes 1‑5, 7‑8) or similar equipment. A minimum of one year of technician experience or recent graduation from an accredited automotive college is required, along with a valid driver’s licence; ASE certifications and a commercial driver’s licence are advantageous but not mandatory. • Complete required company training and certification programs • Minimum 1 year of relevant technician experience or recent graduate from an accredited automotive program • Valid driver’s license; ASE certifications and commercial driver’s licence are preferred but not required
