About the Role
The role involves retrieving parts from the warehouse, preparing daily required components, operating a forklift to move items for repair or shipment, and performing deliveries and pickups for customers and suppliers while meeting deadlines. You will monitor ongoing work, assemble parts kits ahead of schedule, work closely with the planner to manage inbound and outbound parts, maintain workshop cleanliness, and use inventory management software to track stock and orders. Safety is paramount; you must follow safety policies, report hazardous conditions or near‑misses, conduct “Take 5” risk assessments before tasks, keep the workplace orderly, attend EHS training, and wear required PPE. • Retrieve required parts from the warehouse ensuring compliance and availability. • Prepare daily parts according to the work schedule. • Operate a forklift to move components for repair or shipment. • Deliver and collect items from customers and suppliers within set timelines. • Track new work orders and assemble parts kits in advance. • Coordinate with the planner to manage inbound and outbound parts efficiently. • Maintain workshop cleanliness and perform general housekeeping tasks. • Use inventory management software to monitor stock levels and orders. • Follow safety policies, report hazards, and conduct “Take 5” risk assessments before tasks. • Keep the work area orderly, attend environmental health and safety training, and wear required PPE. • Apply industry experience and forklift operation skills to support workshop operations.
