About the Role
The Estimator will report to the Vice President of Estimating and will be integral to the preparation of cost proposals for large‑scale bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and transit projects. • Develop cost estimates for bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and transit projects. • Interpret contract proposals, drawings, and specifications to generate accurate take‑offs. • Perform quantity take‑offs for unit‑price and lump‑sum bids, summarizing data in Excel. • Use HCSS software to create detailed unit‑price estimates, including crew, equipment, and material costs. • Collaborate with project owners, suppliers, and subcontractors during pre‑bid preparation and post‑bid negotiations. • Work within a heavy‑civil estimating team to produce comprehensive cost proposals and support joint‑venture reviews.

What You Bring
Candidates should possess a relevant bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in estimating and project management for heavy‑civil infrastructure. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. • Bring 10+ years of estimating and project‑management experience, with at least 5 years on heavy‑civil projects over $100 M. • Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders. • Experience with alternative delivery methods such as design‑build or CMAR is preferred.
