About the Role

The UGE Laborer/Groundman supports the construction team by preparing and cleaning job sites, loading and unloading materials, operating equipment, and assisting skilled tradespeople. This field‑based role works closely with department personnel to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet safety standards. • Clean and prepare the construction site, removing debris and hazards • Assist tradesmen to complete skilled tasks more effectively • Identify utilities and monitor the dig crew to prevent utility hits • Clean and maintain equipment • Restock trucks with supplies, ensuring crews have proper tools

What You Bring

The position requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Employees must have good hand‑eye coordination, color perception, and the ability to judge distances, as well as the visual acuity to see clearly at 20 feet or 20 inches. • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum qualification) • Valid driver's license (minimum qualification) • One year of relevant experience (preferred) • CDL Class A driver's license (preferred)
