About the Role
The Health & Safety Specialist will design, organize, and maintain comprehensive safety compliance programs across multiple client facilities. The role ensures regulatory compliance while protecting personnel and property, working both in office settings and on‑site in warehouses, distribution centers, and maintenance areas. The specialist leads safety initiatives, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, and supports continuous improvement of safety performance across client sites. • Implement comprehensive health and safety programs that meet regulatory standards. • Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions using safety standards and analytical techniques. • Develop and deliver regulatory compliance training with proper documentation. • Conduct safety inspections, compliance audits, and enforce corrective actions across multiple sites. • Participate in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, recordkeeping, and follow‑up activities. • Collect safety data, generate reports, and monitor performance metrics for client compliance programs. • Assist sites with job safety analyses and creation of safe work procedures.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will bring relevant experience in safety and risk management, strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. • Minimum two years of experience in health and safety compliance or risk management within facility operations. • Proven safety experience in distribution, warehousing, or maintenance environments. • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, DOT, ASME regulations and industrial safety principles. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook. • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience (preferred). • Familiarity with ASP, CSP, OHST, CIH certifications (preferred). • Experience with data automation tools for safety functions (preferred). • Ability to influence without direct authority and work independently (preferred). • Experience managing contractor safety and chemical management programs (preferred).

Benefits
The position offers an estimated salary of $70,000–$80,000 per year and is based on‑site in Reno, NV.
