Diesel Mechanic 2nd Shift - $2500 Annual Tool Allowance and $300 Annual Boot Allowance

About the Role

As a Diesel/CNG Mechanic you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers across the U.S. You will use modern tools and procedures to maintain both diesel equipment and, at select locations, our growing fleet of CNG trucks, ensuring each vehicle leaves the shop ready to serve the community. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts. • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) and respond to emergency breakdown service calls. • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times. • Assist senior mechanics and address repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

What You Bring

The role demands frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, as well as constant standing, walking, and grasping. You will be exposed to physical risks such as cuts, burns, and toxic chemicals, and to environments with dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather, all while adhering to OSHA and corporate safety standards.
