About the Role
• Set and execute strategic direction for project controls, including cost, risk, and schedule management. • Oversee project budget approval process. • Lead risk workshops to identify risks, assess likelihood/severity, define mitigation actions and owners. • Coordinate cross-functional project controls deliverables. • Provide clear direction and goals to motivate the team. • Facilitate weekly team meetings to review progress and drive performance. • Develop and produce regular project reporting. • Prepare documentation for project gateway and approval processes. • Create guidelines for project chartering and partnering. • Review Project Master Schedule for sequencing, interface milestones, and critical path. • Recommend project budget, cash flow, and financial plan. • Lead risk management process for the project. • Develop work plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP). • Review and approve project implementation plans from supporting PMCM teams. • Manage project estimating and lifecycle asset costing, including contingency methodology. • Develop and approve change management and impact mitigation strategies throughout project life. • Establish controls to ensure team performance against baseline metrics. • Define protocols and guidelines for diversity compliance, monitoring, and reporting. • Set metrics and basis for progress reporting, including performance measurement, forecasting, trending, issues, actions, progress, and overall status. • Develop guidelines and protocols for cost reduction initiatives and review recommendations. • Review project‑level diversity recommendations. • Review construction progress and approve recovery plans. • Review claims resolution recommendations. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus. • Maintain ongoing risk process and coordinate regular Monte Carlo analyses. • Enhance project intake to ensure robust business cases, estimates, and schedules. • Develop end‑to‑end process capturing project controls information from intake through closeout, including feedback loops. • Integrate intake, cost, and scheduling reporting for a holistic approach. • Lead Project Controls Team, ensuring quality control and assurance of deliverables. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Director‑Project Controls to join our team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successful client delivery and managing project control teams. This individual will lead project controls services for major client accounts and will help with wider business initiatives as needed. • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field. • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering (preferred). • 12+ years of relevant project controls experience. • 2+ years managing high‑performing project control teams in a consulting environment. • Knowledge of multiple contract delivery methods and their merits. • Proven success with schedules, cost control, estimating, and risk management. • Experience implementing and managing project controls systems for major capital projects. • Ability to establish and monitor project baselines and performance metrics. • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret complex data and provide insights. • Understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and compliance frameworks. • Demonstrated leadership ability to influence and motivate project teams. • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.

Benefits
Compensation is determined based on education, training, experience and location, with a minimum salary range of $175,000‑$225,000 for this role.
