About the Role
The Compactor Shop Technician B works under the supervision of a Compactor Shop Technician A, Lead Compactor Shop Technician Supervisor, or Manager to troubleshoot, design, install, and repair compactors and power units while adhering to the company's safety procedures. Key duties include replacing hydraulic cylinders, fabricating hoses and fittings, welding steel components with MIG and arc welders, and cutting steel using plasma cutters or torches. The technician also fabricates steel parts for compactors, performs on‑site repairs at customer locations, installs safety decals, completes required paperwork, follows all safety policies, and escalates complex repairs to higher‑level technicians. • Replace hydraulic cylinders and fabricate hoses and fittings • Weld steel components using MIG and arc welding equipment • Cut and fabricate steel parts with plasma cutter or torch • Perform on‑site repairs and install safety decals • Complete required paperwork and follow all safety policies • Refer complex repairs to Technician A or Lead Technician

What You Bring
Preferred candidates demonstrate proficiency with welding, hydraulics, or electronics, can operate MIG and stick welders, plasma cutters, and airless paint sprayers, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
