Electrical Engineer II - Power System Study

About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for conducting power studies for renewable projects and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and managers to deliver high‑quality results on schedule. • Perform wind and solar electrical power studies (ampacity, short circuit, reactive power, grounding, arc flash, system impact) at development, construction, and operation stages. • Model projects using ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E. • Prepare accurate, well‑organized technical reports. • Specify equipment ratings and design parameters based on study outcomes. • Collaborate with interconnection engineers, substation engineers, solar, wind, energy storage engineers, study engineers, coordinators, and project managers. • Conduct QA/QC of study packages.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree, possess relevant power‑systems experience, and demonstrate strong technical and communication skills needed to thrive in a dynamic, multitasking environment. • Own deliverables to exceed client expectations and manage multiple studies and projects simultaneously. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s in renewable energy a plus). • Minimum 2 years of power system modeling, simulation, and study experience in utility or consulting environments. • Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, and ASPEN; familiarity with PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, EMTP considered a plus. • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities. • Capability to organize, schedule, prioritize, and multitask in a dynamic setting. • Self‑motivated with a professional engineer license viewed favorably.
