About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and delivering courteous, complete waste removal services. The role also requires ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each use, adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Drivers must perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls, and report any safety issues. While on route, they operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities, following the route sheet or dispatcher assignments. They also monitor waste for unacceptable material, tag unsatisfactory containers, clean spills according to safety policies, and keep the truck clean to minimize downtime. Customer interaction is a key part of the job; drivers must communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to ensure timely service. They are required to complete route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports, maintain required productivity standards, follow all safety policies, and actively participate in the ReSOP program. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete daily Vehicle Condition Reports. • Safely operate the collection truck, loading, compacting and disposing of waste along assigned routes. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers; monitor waste for prohibited materials. • Clean accidental waste spills and maintain truck cleanliness to minimize downtime. • Complete route, productivity and other required reports in accordance with company standards. • Follow all safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program and uphold company safety standards. • Participate in a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement match, ESPP, paid time off and employee discounts.
