About the Role

The position requires reviewing SHEQ plans for compliance with the Contractor Safety Program, conducting field inspections and quality assessments, and providing safety and health orientations on construction sites. The specialist will evaluate permit conditions, report deviations, and propose corrective solutions, while ensuring conformance with ISO‑certified quality and environmental management systems. Travel of up to 50 % is expected, and the role demands ethical decision‑making in line with WSP’s Code of Conduct. • Review SHEQ plans for compliance with the Contractor Safety Program. • Conduct field inspections, safety and health orientations, and quality assessments. • Identify, evaluate, and control occupational safety and health hazards on construction sites. • Assess permit conditions and environmental plan implementation; report deviations and suggest solutions. • Ensure SHEQ activities align with ISO‑certified Quality and Environmental Management Systems. • Assist in training and communication of QMS and EMS processes and procedures. • Make ethical decisions regarding company resources in accordance with WSP’s Code of Conduct.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have three to five years of experience managing a safety program. Additional experience may include at least two years with Six Sigma or ISO‑9001/TS‑16949 quality‑management standards, or two years with ISO‑14001 environmental‑management standards, or two years of construction‑safety experience combined with an OSHA 30‑hour construction certification. • Travel up to 50 % of the time. • Hold a bachelor’s degree. • Possess 3–5 years experience managing a safety program. • Have at least 2 years experience with Six Sigma or ISO‑9001/TS‑16949 quality‑management standards, or ISO‑14001 EMS standards, or construction safety with OSHA 30‑hour certification.
