Foundry Casting Processor - 3rd shift
Operate foundry equipment, grind/finish castings, and perform minor maintenance.

About the Role
Perform a wide variety of duties throughout the foundry areas following standard procedures and work instructions. Transport materials, castings, and equipment with a fork truck or payloader, and use rough grinding equipment, portable hand power tools, and bench grinders to remove parting lines, gates, risers, flash, and other surface defects. Operate power equipment such as bandsaws, vacuums, shot blast cleaners, and automatic molding machines, including blade changes and machine setup, and fill small cavities with lab metal while smoothing and patching surface imperfections to QC standards. Perform minor maintenance tasks like tightening loose parts, replacing sprues, and keeping the work area clean, and detect and report defective materials according to safety regulations. • Transport materials, castings, and equipment using a fork truck or payloader. • Grind and remove surface defects with hand tools, bench grinders, and rough grinding equipment. • Operate power equipment such as bandsaws, vacuums, shot blast cleaners, and automatic molding machines, performing blade changes as needed. • Fill small cavities with lab metal and smooth/patch surface imperfections to QC standards. • Perform minor maintenance, including tightening loose parts, replacing sprues, and keeping the work area clean. • Detect and report defective materials according to safety and supervisory procedures.
