About the Role

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for fabricating and modifying copper or aluminum bus components and adding cutouts to doors and covers. The role requires maintaining the area schedule and making adjustments to ensure a constant, orderly workflow. Operators work from oral or written instructions, prints, sketches, and manufacturing information sheets, writing requisitions and coordinating with a Kan Ban attendant to obtain needed materials. They operate fabricating equipment such as FMS, press brake, shear, punch, bender, and nibbler to produce bus connectors, risers, taps, and mains, as well as fabricate and assemble braces, spacers, barriers, and supports. Material handling is performed using electric trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, ergo lifts, and cranes, and assembled parts may be taped, sleeved, or finished with hand tools. • Fabricate and modify copper or aluminum bus components and add cutouts to doors and covers. • Interpret oral or written instructions, prints, sketches, and manufacturing information sheets. • Write material requisitions and coordinate with a Kan Ban attendant to obtain supplies. • Operate equipment including FMS, press brake, shear, punch, bender, and nibbler. • Assemble, tape, sleeve, and finish parts using hand tools and deburring techniques. • Use electric trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, ergo lifts, and cranes for material handling. • Set up and run nibbler/punch press to create cutouts and holes in doors and covers. • Measure components with calipers, micrometers, and protractors. • Read blueprints and manage job orders in the DMM system. • Operate multiple workstations in a workflow cell to meet takt time or daily demand. • Contact 1‑800‑836‑6345 for disability‑related accommodation requests.
