About the Role
As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers nationwide, working with diesel and, at some locations, CNG trucks using modern tools and procedures. The work environment involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing. Employees are regularly exposed to physical risks such as cuts, burns, and chemicals, as well as dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather conditions, both inside the garage and outdoors. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on various vehicles and equipment. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts. • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). • Respond to emergency service calls and breakdowns. • Conduct safety checks on vehicles to protect employees and the community. • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times. • Review, complete, or assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with Corporate and OSHA standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of relevant mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be 18 or older, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Successful applicants must also pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical, and be able to meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. The position may require travel by air or access to federal property, so candidates must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one. • Minimum 4 years of relevant mechanical experience. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations. • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination. • Team‑oriented, capable of independent work, enjoys variety, and solves problems.
